My son and I found this amazing place during our trip through Seattle. We were a little uncertain and not sure what to expect but we were both so glad we checked it out. We also had to search around the center a little to find it - my son would blame it on my poor eyesight while I blamed it on not knowing how to pronounce the name . What an incredibly unique and special place! We didn’t know it was a Viennese cafe but figured it out quickly after arriving. The ambience was different than anything we’ve seen. It was peaceful, comfortable and elegant - especially for a cafe. The fireplace was warm and cozy and the decor fit the Vienna style. I thought Von Trapp’s children were going to come out from behind the counter singing the hills are alive.... The food, wow the food! It was delicious. Prior to this visit, my only experience with Viennese food was Swissmiss hot chocolate packets so I definitely needed some education on the menu. We got a croissant with Gruyere and turkey that had the perfect mix of cheese and smoked turkey in a warm and fluffy croissant. Saying it was so tasty doesn’t do it justice. We also got an Apple Galette that tasted like a warm piece of Apple pie with whipped cream on top. It was incredible and unlike anything I’ve had in the states. My son had what he described as the best mocha ever. The staff was very friendly - even giving me some recommendations for my trip to Vienna this fall. They were also very patient as we tried to figure out the menu and super helpful in giving recommendations (I would have said, look you old coot just order your item and move on!). They were far more patient with me than I would have been. If I am anywhere close to Seattle I’ll be making my way through the rolling hills to be transported to the streets of Vienna for pure deliciousness.

Wonderful place. Most impressive are atmosphere and service. The lady noticed that this is my first time visiting the coffee shop and gave me a warm welcome and an introduction of the recipes. Presentation of the coffee drinks is wonderful. The one I had was delicious. Drinks are served with a shot of soda to be enjoyed after the drink (which is delicious as well). Very pleasant classical music is playing. I highly recommend this place!!

This is the only place I’ve found in the area to get traditional Viennese coffee. This style of coffee goes back centuries and if you’ve never had this European style of coffee, you’ve got to give it a try! We visited on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy, so we sat at the bar. We loved everything we tried and will definitely be back. There are lots of coffee options ranging from unsweetened to sweet, and some of the coffees are served with sparkling lavender water, which was amazing. The cake (sachertorte) and ham croissant were also delicious and fresh. The staff is very knowledgeable and can help you find the perfect coffee for your taste. In keeping with the traditional recipes, the shop does not allow substitutions in the drinks.

My secret little hidden gem!! As much as I want to hide this place just for myself, I would like many people to try this cafe. This place got us so into Viennese coffee, we actually went to Vienna for coffee. Highly recommended for everyone in North Seattle to try this lovely place!!

Great little Viennese cafe hidden in a residential complex! I could barely see the place until we entered but what an experience! They truly put together the essence of excellent customer service and curated experience! It was quality over everything. From the music, cups, curtains, portraits and decadent library vibes to original, tasty and slightly obnoxious menu, it was all very well done! We had the raspberry chocolate croissant, it was scrumptious! The chocolate filling was dark and not too sweet and it had raspberry flavor too! Loved it. Both the coffee drinks we tried were great as well! Will definitely add this to our list of favorite places.

Viennese kaffeehause. One of only 2 in America. I'm so glad that it's close to my sister's house. Friendly staff. Nice coffee house. We got an education on the kinds of coffee offered here. Love the decor and the classic movie Amadeus playing on the TV above the fireplace. The coffee is delicious as well as the almond croissant. I can see the locals love this place and it's having a special place in my heart now. Since I didn't get to go to my Germany/Austria/Switzerland trip this year, this place is a consolation. I will definitely return when I'm in town. I'm glad I found this place to enjoy a delicious Viennese coffee.

I love this space. It's so refreshing to come to a place that doesn't compromise the quality of its coffee and atmosphere. I have loved exploring the menu here and especially love to grab a pastry with my drink. Michaela and Erik are always very elegant and kind. I appreciate what they are bringing to Lynnwood. They are always informative not Viennese coffee and helping everyone get something they will like to drink.

A hidden gem, this cafe is trying hard to achieve the feel of an Austrian coffee house and I think they succeeded. Growing up in Germany I've traveled a few times to the neighboring Austria and Kaffeehaus de Chatillon does a great job capturing the essence and atmosphere. They stick strictly to their concept and you will have less options to customize your coffee drinks, but that is a good thing in this case. We love their boozy coffee drinks. They also offer a good selection of tasty Austrian pastries to go with the coffee. I can't come up with many places in Washington that match this unique atmosphere and this even wouldn't feel misplaced if it was located in Europe. I'm glad we love close by so we can visit more often.
